About Zoey
Zoey’s Dawg Stop is dedicated to the memory of Zoey, a tan and black Lab/ Beagle/Greyhound/Collie mix, that served as a loving companion and hearing-ear dog to store owner Lisa Nicholson. The onset of minor hearing loss at age 12 put owner Lisa Nicholson on the path to Zoey, and they bonded immediately. Lisa’s affection could not have been greater for the dog. She moved to Maryland in 1995, and Zoey thrived in Mount Airy. Zoey passed away of old age two years ago, on June 26. She was 17 years old.
